Advantages of the Barrel Sauna
Our saunas are entirely built in Quebec with 100% Canadian wood. Made of red cedar, your sauna can resist bad weather, mould and insects while remaining outside all year. Its cylindrical shape, in addition to being aesthetic and enveloping, allows energy savings and faster heating. The volume to be heated is 25% to 30% less than a square sauna. The barrel is assembled with aluminum straps.
Cedar Maintenance
The luxury of red cedar is its warm appearance, nuances of colour, and incredible versatility. It can be stained or not, depending on your taste. Red cedar, without protection, will take on a silver-gray tint and tend to crack slightly, but this does not affect its structure and strength. If you opt for protection, many products are available: oil-based, water-based, opaque stain... Whatever stain you choose, its primary function is to provide the wood with a flexible protective barrier against water and the sun's ultraviolet rays.
